My artistic career is not just about the glamorous scene of high-fashion events or Special Guest nights at trendy nightclubs—it is also deeply connected to 20th-century television, with its trendsetting programs, current affairs shows, and of course, talk shows and reality shows.
Reality TV Adventures
In 2005, I participated in the British reality show “The Farm”, a program where dramatic and humorous situations unfold naturally, without a script, as contestants experience them as if they were real life. My extraordinary participation in that season gained remarkable audience success. I was on camera alongside American actress Charlene Tilton (known for the hit TV series Dallas) and Ron Jeremy, one of my co-stars in adult films. Other well-known actors also took part in this famous British reality show, produced by Endemol UK.
In 2008, I attempted to join L’Isola dei Famosi (the Italian version of Survivor), but found massive fame in Argentina instead. The Argentinian audience was incredibly enthusiastic about me when I participated in their version of Dancing with the Stars, called “Bailando por un sueño”.
Unfortunately, I had to leave the show due to a rib fracture sustained during rehearsals. However, my dancing debut was a total success: I made my entrance wearing a light blue dress and a fur boa around my neck, performing live on Canal 13 in Buenos Aires to the tune of I Will Survive by Gloria Gaynor. Though I didn’t win over the judges, my energy—along with a witty verbal exchange with host Marcelo Tinelli—earned me the adoration of the audience, who gave me a standing ovation. At home, viewers saved me with 63% of the public vote.
During interviews in Argentina, I explained that—rib injury aside—I never expected to win the competition. I had danced before in my shows and would continue to do so, but this reality show, more demanding than the Italian version, required high-level dancing skills, which I lacked. Still, Bailando por un sueño gave me the chance to reconnect with my passionate Argentinian audience, and to this day, the show’s producers remain thrilled about my participation.
More Reality Show Highlights
In 2017, I almost made it onto L’Isola dei Famosi again—this time for the 12th season. Just weeks before the official cast announcement, my name was circulating among the potential contestants, but at the last minute, I wasn’t confirmed. However, my future on this incredible reality show seems closer than ever—after all, every year, millions of viewers are glued to their screens, eager for the latest season.
Later in 2017, I received an exciting email from RTL KLUB TV. The casting director of Hungary’s most famous reality show, "Celeb Vagyok, ments ki innen!" (I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!) invited me to Budapest to discuss my participation in this survival-based reality show.
This Hungarian version of Survivor takes place in the dense tropical forests of South Africa, where contestants must find water and food in the wild while facing extreme challenges, including encounters with snakes, spiders, and all kinds of exotic insects.
After signing the contract, I appeared in several promotional TV spots, traveling frequently to Hungary before my departure on November 23. Alongside other famous Hungarian personalities, I boarded an Air France AF990 flight to Johannesburg. After 12 hours in the air, we landed for pre-show interviews before taking a private flight deep into the South African jungle.
From the very beginning, I knew how to pace my energy to survive the harsh conditions. Many contestants quit after just a few days, unable to handle the deprivation, isolation, and extreme challenges. But I pushed through almost to the very end, securing an excellent position in the final rankings. I even faced snakes, spiders, and insects crawling all over my body, yet I remained calm—the Cicciolina.
