Film awards, presented and sponsored by major production companies and erotic/hardcore magazines, recognize various aspects of the adult entertainment industry and celebrate outstanding achievements in the business of pleasure. As the adult industry grew and gained recognition, these awards started to be considered the Oscars of the porn industry.
I want to highlight my own Oscar-equivalent award, the Italian Porn Award for Lifetime Achievement (2013)—a prestigious honor worthy of my career as a porn diva.
But my most iconic moment was at the 41st Cannes Film Festival in 1988, where I made headlines with “Parfums de scandale sur le tapis rouge”—posing topless on the red carpet in front of photographers from all over the world. It was a true award, making news in every corner of the globe.
