With my illustrative works of contemporary art, I truly wish to realize a fantastic idea in the field of fashion and women’s accessories: art to wear, or rather, “a painting to wear.” The concept—which I present to you here also thanks to the help of my graphic collaborator and friend Gianni Domingo Bove—is to propose to major producers of accessories and handbags the creation of artistic bags, or ART in BAGS, reinterpreted in a modern key with vibrant and absolutely glamorous colors, just as the name suggests. Uniqueness and creativity—a perfect combination to create artistic handbags with a bold and modern design that go beyond the usual patterns, becoming walking works of art.
The idea could also extend to backpacks, shoes, belts, jackets, and in general to any type of women’s accessory. These are not ordinary bags, but truly unique creations, enriched with a charm that reproduces my CICCIOLINA Doll—a stylized object from the 1980s that has always accompanied me in all my appearances around the world.
Each bag is named after one of my songs. On this page, I present the “BABY LOVE” bag, the “SAN FRANCISCO DANCE” bag, and the “CICCIOLINA — The Angel of Love” bag.
With my artistic illustrations, CICCIOLINA breaks barriers and dares to go against the grain in fashion, as I intend to show with these splendid women’s accessories. As Pablo Picasso once said, “Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.”
But the idea of wearable art is not limited to handbags: it extends also to artistic T-shirts. Under the name ARTshirt, I present here several T-shirts with dynamic and imaginative designs. I want to propose my name CICCIOLINA to major fashion designers for a fashion product, and from there decide whether to launch an e-commerce or to partner with an international network of retailers.
Thus, I launch my vision to the top fashion designers: the idea of bringing art into everyday fashion—on bags, shoes, and jackets—to offer those who wear them uniqueness and extravagant style, just as it befits the Iconic Ilona Staller — CICCIOLINA.
